Interior Space Reconfiguration & Functional Design

This project involved reconfiguring existing living space to improve functionality, storage, and overall usability. By combining rooms and reallocating square footage, the layout was redesigned to better support everyday living needs.

Before

During

Walls were removed and reframed to combine spaces, the ceiling was raised to improve room proportion, and adjacent areas were reconfigured to expand the primary closet and support the new layout.

After

The completed space includes a functional activity room and a significantly expanded primary closet featuring custom racks, integrated shelving, and a double-sided dresser and storage tower.

The original layout included a small bedroom and an adjacent den, along with a narrow, inefficient “L”-shaped primary closet. The notched wall configuration fragmented the space, making it difficult to use effectively and limiting storage and organization.

This project demonstrates how thoughtful structural and layout changes can create a space that is not only functional and efficient, but also tailored, flexible, and comfortable for everyday use.

If your current layout isn’t working or your storage is limited, we can help reconfigure your space into something more functional, efficient, and built around your needs.
